Proxara in ChatGPT

Publish it to the workspace once. Sign in with Microsoft. About two minutes.

Updated August 2026

Two minutes, once. An admin publishes Proxara to the firm's ChatGPT workspace, then you sign in with the Microsoft work account you already use. Nothing installs on any computer.

The whole rollout: Create, the address, Publish, the custom label, then a member's first answer on stand-ins

Step 1. An admin publishes it

Once, for the whole Business or Enterprise workspace. Nobody else adds anything.

For the administrator: three screens, all inside ChatGPT on the web
  1. Developer mode. ChatGPT's switch for apps that are not in OpenAI's public directory: Workspace Settings, then Permissions & Roles, then Connected Data. ChatGPT also offers it during the next step.
  2. Create the app. Workspace settings, then Apps, then Create. Enter the firm's connector address, a single web address ending in /mcp, issued at onboarding. There is no client ID, secret, or token to copy or store. The new app waits under Drafts.
  3. Publish. Only workspace admins and owners can publish. The app joins the workspace's approved list, and members see it in their own Apps settings labeled custom.

Enterprise and Edu add two controls. Role settings decide who in the workspace can use the app at all, and Configure Actions approves each Proxara action individually, with anything added later arriving switched off until an administrator reviews it.

On Business, a published app cannot be edited in place, so changing it means creating and publishing again.

Also for admins: Connect Microsoft 365, the one consent behind every sign-in.

Step 2. You sign in

The first request that touches the firm's systems asks you to sign in with your Microsoft work account. Your ChatGPT account never decides what you can see.

You're connected

Ask for the status of an engagement. The answer comes back with stand-ins where client names would be.

What works on which plan

Enterprise and EduAn admin, onceThe same, scoped by role, with each action approved individually
Plus or Pro, personalYou, in developer modeReading in ChatGPT. Anything that acts finishes in the Proxara workspace
Free or GoNo path yetCustom apps cannot be added until Proxara is in OpenAI's public directory
Using a personal Plus or Pro plan

No workspace needed. Switch on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings and add the same connector address.

Reading works fully: briefs, engagement status, what arrived, what is genuinely missing. Anything that acts finishes in the private view, which is where confirmations and real client names live on every plan.

The sign-in requirement does not loosen. A personal ChatGPT account with no valid work sign-in gets nothing.

If something doesn't work

  • Can't find Proxara under Settings, then Apps? It stays in Drafts until an admin publishes it.
  • Signed in and still nothing comes back? Access follows the Microsoft work account, not the ChatGPT account.
  • On Enterprise, a missing action may be waiting on an administrator. Anything added after setup arrives switched off.
