Proxara in Claude

Add it once for the whole workspace. Everyone signs in with Microsoft.

Updated August 2026

Two minutes for the Owner, one click for everyone else. Each person signs in with the Microsoft work account they already use. Nothing installs, and anything that sends waits for your confirm.

What is still missing for this week's 1120-S engagements?

Two requirements are open. [Organization_0599F9C6AF50] still owes the year-end brokerage statement, and the signed organizer from [Person_0CE2473EA47B] arrived by email but was never filed to the engagement.

Stand-ins where client names would be
The owner adds the connector once in Organization settings; a member's first request asks permission once, and the reply carries stand-ins

Step 1. An Owner adds the connector

Once, in Organization settings. Adding it grants nobody access by itself.

For the Owner: adding the connector

An Owner or Primary Owner, inside Claude:

  1. Open Organization settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add, hover over Custom, and choose Web.
  3. Enter Proxara as the name, then the firm's connector address, a single web address ending in /mcp. Onboarding provides it.
  4. Click Add. The Advanced settings fields stay empty: there is no client ID or secret for anyone to copy or store.

The connector then appears to every member with a Custom label. Owners can also hold it to read-only for the whole workspace, and members cannot override that.

The one Microsoft consent behind every sign-in: Connect Microsoft 365. The page to circulate to staff: What to ask for.

Step 2. You click Connect

Once, under Customize, then Connectors. The sign-in that follows is your own Microsoft work account, never a Claude credential.

You're connected

Switch Proxara on with the + button at the lower left of the chat, then ask for the status of an engagement. Stand-ins appear where client names would be.

Who does what, by plan

Permissions follow the work sign-in, not the plan.

Managed auth, in beta for Team and Enterprise

It removes even the Connect click. The firm applies for access, the admin provisions the connector through the firm's own identity provider, and each person inherits it the first time they log in. Removing someone from the directory removes their connector access with it, and the firm can require that the connector only ever connects through the identity provider, which keeps personal accounts out of work tools.

Using a personal Claude account

Personal accounts are fully supported, including Free, which allows one custom connector. The path is Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector: enter a name and the connector address, click Add, then Connect.

The rules do not loosen. A personal Claude account with no valid work sign-in gets nothing.

If something doesn't work

  • Proxara not in the + list? Adding it is the Owner's step. Yours is Customize, then Connectors, then Connect.
  • Connected but nothing comes back? Access follows your Microsoft work account, not your Claude account.
  • Reading works and acting does not? An Owner can hold Claude to read-only for the whole workspace.
