A self-contained desktop app that opens real ChatGPT and Claude with redaction running. No install, no admin, fine on a work laptop.
Updated June 2026
The sandbox app is the quickest way to see Proxara work. It is a single signed desktop app that bundles its own browser and the real redaction engine. You download it, open it, and it lands you on a console with real ChatGPT and Claude beside it, already protected.
The app carries its own copy of Chromium and runs the same redaction engine the production agent runs, as a local sidecar. When you type into ChatGPT or Claude inside the app, your prompt goes through Proxara first. Anything sensitive, a client name, a card number, an account, is swapped for a stable token before the prompt leaves your machine, then restored in the reply so the conversation still reads normally. The console next to the chat shows every catch as it happens.
This is the part that matters on a work machine. The sandbox app does not install a background service, does not add a certificate to your system, does not change your system proxy, and never asks for admin. It stays entirely inside its own window. Quit it and it leaves nothing behind. That is why it is fine to run on a managed laptop, and why there is nothing for IT to clear first.
The trade-off is scope. The sandbox only protects the ChatGPT and Claude running inside it. It does not see the rest of your apps, your normal browser, or your AI agents. For that, you want the full install.
Enter your email on the sandbox door and the app is sent to your inbox within a minute or two. No approval, no waiting.
The email has a download button. It brings two things: the app itself, and a small proxara-appdemo-claim.json file. Leave that file in your Downloads. The app reads it once on first launch to connect to your preview, then removes it. From then on the app opens straight to your console.
The sandbox is a self-contained preview. The full install is the real agent on your device, covering every app. For a side by side, see the two ways to try Proxara.
