The sandbox app and the full install, what each one does, and how to pick.
Updated June 2026
Proxara has two demos, and they are not the same thing. One is a self-contained app you can open in seconds. The other installs the real agent on your machine. Both are free. Which one you want depends on how close to the real deployment you need to get.
The sandbox app is one signed program. You open it, and it opens real ChatGPT and Claude inside its own window, with Proxara redacting underneath and a live console showing every catch. It does not install a system service, it does not add a certificate to your machine, and it does not touch your network or your settings. Nothing for IT to clear. Quit it and it is gone.
That self-contained design is the whole point. It runs anywhere, including a locked-down work laptop, and it is the fastest way to watch redaction actually happen. What it does not do is protect the rest of your computer. It only covers the two AI tools inside its own window, so treat it as a working preview rather than the product running for real.
You get it by entering your email. The app arrives in your inbox within a minute or two. No approval step, no waiting.
The full install is the real Proxara agent, the same signed binaries a customer fleet runs. It installs on your device and protects everything: every app, your browser, and the MCP tools your AI agents call, not just one window. This is how Proxara behaves in production, so it is the right choice when you want to evaluate it properly.
Because it is real software doing real work, it asks for permission. macOS asks for your password to install, and Proxara asks once more to turn on protection. That second step adds a per-trial certificate so the agent can inspect AI traffic without breaking other TLS. The trial runs for fourteen days in your own isolated tenant, then removes itself completely. No card, nothing to clean up afterward.
The full install is reviewed before access opens, so you request it and one of the founders approves it. The install walkthrough plays every prompt you will see, start to finish.
Start with the sandbox if you want a quick, no-friction look, or if you are on a machine you would rather not install anything on yet. Choose the full install when you want to see Proxara the way it actually deploys, across everything on the device.
Still unsure? Get the sandbox first. It takes two minutes and costs nothing, and you can request the full install whenever you are ready.
