Privacy policy

This is a draft. Counsel reviews it before the site goes live.

This policy covers the website at proxara.ai. It does not cover an engagement or a deployment of the product. Those run under a signed agreement, and where the product's data goes is described in the security overview.

Before you consent, the site collects nothing

When you open a page here, no analytics runs and no request goes to a third party. The fonts are served from our own site. The web server that serves the page is configured not to keep an access log. Our hosting provider, named in the sub-processor list, may keep the short-lived connection records it needs to run its network. The only thing stored on your device is your answer to the analytics notice, once you give one.

After you consent, one analytics tool

If you choose "Allow analytics" in the notice, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC. It is configured with the advertising signals denied: no advertising storage, no advertising user data, no advertising personalisation. What remains is page-level measurement: which pages are opened, in what order, from what kind of device and browser, and the approximate region Google derives from the connection. We use it for one thing, to understand which pages matter to the people who read them. We do not use it for advertising, we do not combine it with any other data, and we do not sell or share it.

Google processes this data under its own terms. Google's cookies are set only after you consent.

The report form

The report form sends three things to a service we run: your company name, your work email address, and, if you give them, the states you foreclose in most. A person reads it, reconstructs the cases from the public court record, and sends the report to that address. You may receive an automatic acknowledgement first. The form also contains a hidden field that only automated submissions fill in, which we use to discard them.

We keep your request for as long as we need it to send the report and to keep a record of our correspondence. Write to privacy@proxara.ai if you want it deleted.

No loan data and no borrower data

This website never collects loan data or borrower data, and it asks for none. There is no place on it to upload a loan file, a servicing export or a court document, and there is no field for a borrower's name, a property address or a loan number. If you paste any of that into the form, we delete it and tell you, and we ask you not to send it again. The security overview says where the product's data goes.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no cookies. It uses two entries in your browser's storage: pxr-consent, which records your analytics choice so the notice does not return on every visit, and a session flag set when you close the notice without choosing, which lasts until you close the browser. Google Analytics sets its own cookies only after you consent.

Withdrawing consent

Open "Cookie preferences" in the site footer. The notice returns and you can choose "Decline". Your choice takes effect on the next page you load, and we do not load Google Analytics again after that. You can also clear your browser's storage for proxara.ai, which removes the record of your choice and brings the notice back.

Your rights

If you are in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Our basis for analytics is your consent. Our basis for the report form is our legitimate interest in sending the report you asked for and, where you asked about an engagement, the steps needed before a contract.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@proxara.ai. A named person answers, and we may ask for enough information to confirm the request is yours.

Children

The site is written for people who work in mortgage servicing and for their counsel. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to what is collected is described in plain words in the new version.
